Dean, Faculty of Business Administration

Prof. Dr. Charles Carillo Villanueva is presently the Dean of Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences, and Dean In-charge of the Faculty of Business Administration, American International University-Bangladesh. He did his Doctor of Education (Ed.D) from Manila, Philippines, during 1982. He completed Master of Arts in Education (M.A.Ed.) from Manila, Philippines, during 1977. He finished his Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education (B.S.E.Ed) from Kalibo, Aklan, Philippines during 1968 and Bachelor of Science in Secondary Education (B.S.E.), from Kalibo, Aklan, Philippines, during 1970. He completed Advanced Studies in Educational Planning cum Administration (9 mos.), IIEP-UNESCO, Paris, France during 1982 and Basic Course in Educational Planning and Management 2 mos.), UNESCO-PROAP, Bangkok, Thailand and NIEPA, New Delhi India during 1983. He worked as the Chief Educational Planning Analyst, Department of Education, Manila, Philippines from1990 to 1996. He worked as the Director IV, Office Policy, Planning, Research and Information, Commission on Higher Education, Pasig City, Philippines from 1996 to 2000. He was also a Graduate School Professor (Part-time) from 1981 to 2002. He was the UNESCO EMIS Consultant/ Sr. Education Adviser in BANBEIS, Ministry of Education, Dhaka, Bangladesh, during 2000 and worked in Thailand, UNESCO Paris, Myanmar, Vietnam, Pakistan, Kazakhstan, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, Armenia, South Korea, and China from 1990 to 2005. He is also Vice President, Academic Affairs (on leave), Aklan Catholic College, Kalibo, Aklan, Philippines since 2002 and also the Director, Center for Research and Excellence, American International University-Bangladesh, since 2007.
